Description
In this class you will learn the techniques I use for painting one of my favorite beings of nature: mushrooms! I will share with you how to capture the textures and values of mushrooms using watercolour. I will show you many options using just watercolour, watercolour and gouache (or white pen) and also another option using watercolour and masking fluid.
This class can be taken by experienced watercolour artists or beginners.
In this class we will observe mushrooms, in real life or photos of them and learn how to take the textures and values of them. We will practice throughout all the lessons, starting with the mushrooms sketching and by the end of this class you will be able to paint your favorite mushroom.
Pick your favorite mushrooms and learn how to draw and paint them using watercolours!
I hope this class opens a new door to you to start exploring new colours and textures that Mother Earth brings us.
Materials: watercolour paper (over 70% cotton is recommended), watercolours, gouache watercolour brushes, masking fluid, inexpensive brushes (for the masking fluid), white and black pens, pencil, eraser, paper towel and water!
